Sweet Additions in Dresser and Cameron Certified Family Friendly Workplaces
Makes Donation to The Open Cupboard
Osceola, Wisconsin - Sweet Additions was certified as a Family Friendly Workplace earlier this month by Family Friendly Workplaces. This certification recognizes Sweet Additions' commitment to its employees and their families.
"In the heart of our community beats a spirit of compassion, where local businesses like ours find joy in nourishing not only the appetites but also the souls of our neighbors,” said Cody Wood, Director of Human Resources at Sweet Additions. “We are grateful for the opportunity to donate to our local food bank, weaving a tapestry of care that embraces every corner of our town. Together, we stand as pillars of support, investing in the well-being of those around us and finding fulfillment in the simple act of making a difference. Through our involvement, we reaffirm the belief that the strength of a community lies not only in its prosperity but also in its collective empathy and kindness."
To be certified, Family Friendly Workplaces conducted a thorough review of Sweet Additions' human resources policies and practices, awarding points in their matrix for policies and practices which support families and children. As a certified employer, Sweet Additions can use the Family Friendly Workplaces logo in their marketing and recruitment efforts, as well as access a wide-range of additional resources.
“We are proud to welcome Sweet Additions to the family,” said Neil Kline, Executive Director of Family Friendly Workplaces. “Their certification demonstrates not only their commitment to their employees and their families, but also their interest in being part of larger efforts to address our region's workforce shortage.”
As part of their certification, Sweet Additions committed to annually contributing to a nonprofit that supports families. This year, they routed their donation to The Open Cupboard food shelf in Osceola.
Western and northwestern Wisconsin face a long-term human resources challenge which demands a strategic approach to address. The Family Friendly Workplaces Certification Program is designed to help employers compete for talent today, while also strategically addressing this long-term problem.
