VIRESCO Certified as a Family Friendly Workplace
VIRESCO Certified as a Family Friendly Workplace
Turtle Lake, Wisconsin – Family Friendly Workplaces (FFW) proudly announced this week the certification of VIRESCO in Turtle Lake as a Family Friendly Workplace. This recognition underscores Viresco's commitment to fostering a workplace that embraces and supports the needs of its employees and their families.
"At VIRESCO, we believe in the importance of creating a workplace that supports the well-being of our employees and their families," said Joe Burke, CEO of VIRESCO. "Receiving certification from Family Friendly Workplaces is a testament to our dedication to providing a positive and family-friendly work environment."
To attain this certification, VIRESCO underwent a comprehensive evaluation of its human resources policies and practices, with a focus on criteria such as healthcare, time off, flexible work arrangements, childcare, early childhood support, and more. As a certified employer, VIRESCO can use the Family Friendly Workplaces logo in their marketing and recruitment efforts, as well as access a wide-range of additional resources.
"Family Friendly Workplaces is excited to welcome VIRESCO to our community of certified organizations," says Neil Kline, Executive Director of FFW. "VIRESCO's dedication to creating a workplace that supports the diverse needs of its employees aligns perfectly with our mission to promote family-friendly practices, and address our workforce shortage, across northwestern Wisconsin."
In alignment with the certification, VIRESCO has committed to an annual contribution to a nonprofit organization that supports families. This year, VIRESCO has chosen to direct its conduit contribution to Kinship of Cumberland & Turtle Lake, a nonprofit dedicated encouraging every child to reach their highest potential through the development of one-to-one mentoring relationships which foster companionship and guidance, self-esteem and life skills. VIRESCO staff are also mentors and participants with Kinship, and have experienced the enduring benefits Kinship provides regional families.
Western and northwestern Wisconsin face a long-term human resources challenge which demands a strategic approach to address. The Family Friendly Workplaces Certification Program is designed to help employers compete for talent today, while also strategically addressing this long-term problem.
